After earning his dental degree from the University of Washington, he completed his orthodontic training and Master of Science degree at Saint Louis University, which is what first brought him to Missouri.
He and his family fell in love with the area, and the rest is history. Today, he’s proud to call the Midwest home and to serve families in Chesterfield and beyond with dedication and heart.

Originally from central Kentucky, Dr. Courtney Ethington earned both her undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Kentucky before moving to St. Louis to pursue advanced training. She completed her orthodontic residency and Master of Science in Dentistry at Saint Louis University, officially joining the Bankhead team soon after.
She’s been winning hearts (and perfecting smiles) ever since. Her patients appreciate her mix of professionalism and relatability—qualities that shine through in every appointment.

Dr. Alex Oldroyd: A Passion for Precision and People
A Coast-to-Coast Journey to Orthodontics
Dr. Alex Oldroyd began his academic journey studying applied physics at Brigham Young University. After completing his dental degree at Oregon Health & Science University, he spent time practicing as a general dentist before realizing his true calling: orthodontics.
He went on to earn his orthodontic certificate at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. In 2014, he returned to the Midwest and has been part of the Bankhead family ever since.
Detail-Oriented and Dedicated to Smiles
Dr. Oldroyd is known for his focus, precision, and genuine care for his patients. His goal is to help people feel proud of their smiles—and to enjoy the journey along the way.
He lives in Lake Saint Louis with his wife and three daughters and is always up for a board game or a discussion about choral music. A self-proclaimed girl dad, his approach to care is both nurturing and meticulous, making him a favorite among families throughout Chesterfield.
Dr. Jacob Bleyer: Rooted in Community, Driven by Results

A southern Illinois native, Dr. Jacob Bleyer earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois before attending Southern Illinois University for dental school. He later completed his orthodontic residency at Texas A&M University Dental School, where he deepened his knowledge of digital orthodontic systems and modern appliances.
Returning to the St. Louis area felt like coming home. Dr. Bleyer now lives and practices near the communities he grew up around—and brings a sense of local pride to everything he does.
